Israeli Startup Sanolla Gets FDA’s 510(k) Clearance for its ‘Infrasound’ Stethoscope
The FDA has granted Israel-based Sanolla’s VoqX infrasound stethoscope 510(k) marketing clearance.
The term “infrasound” refers to low-frequency sound waves that cannot be heard by humans. The company’s artificial intelligence (AI)-based algorithm shifts sounds to the ear's most sensitive frequency range and adds dynamic noise cancelation.
The AI algorithm also helps identify several cardiopulmonary conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, asthma and cardiac morbidities.
