Samsung’s AccE Glass-Free Detector Launches with Recent FDA Clearance
Samsung recently received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its AccE glass-free detector used with its digital radiography system and is now rolling out the product in the U.S.
The ultralight, glass-free detector replaces a glass-based underlying layer with a non-glass flexible panel.
The glass-free technology makes the model 27 percent lighter than conventional models and does not compromise the image quality.
The glass-free detector reduces fatigue to users of the x-ray equipment device and offers patients a more comfortable experience, Samsung said.
