BioPoly’s Lesser Toe System Cleared for Toe Joint Replacement
The FDA has granted clearance to BioPoly’s Lesser Toe System to replace one side of a joint to treat toes made stiff or painful by arthritis.
The implant is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and hyaluronic acid that is designed to minimize damage to tissue and interact with and leave healthy cartilage intact.
This is BioPoly ’s second FDA-cleared implant device for arthritic toes. The first was the company’s Great Toe System.
