CardieX Conneqt Pulse Cleared for Blood Pressure Measurements
CardieX has received 510(k) clearance for the Conneqt Pulse device as a remote monitor of central blood pressure as well as several other indicators of vascular health.
The device performs arterial waveform analysis — reflecting the change in blood pressure over time — and looks at several vascular health markers to measure arterial stiffness and myocardial oxygen supply and demand. The device also provides a medical-grade heart rate, the company said.
The Conneqt Pulse device includes a proprietary blood pressure cuff that connects to a readout monitor and is integrated with a smart phone app.
The device is only available by prescription.
