FDA Issues Two Year DSCSA Exemption to Small Dispensers
The FDA is issuing exemptions from certain requirements of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) to small dispensers such as pharmacies until Nov. 27, 2026.
The exemptions for small dispensers, which may also apply to their trading partners, provide additional time to stabilize their operations to fully implement the enhanced drug distribution security requirements of DSCSA, the FDA said.
The agency is not extending the one-year stabilization period for trading partners beyond the current date of Nov. 27, the agency said.
