OSCIENT, PFIZER GET MEXICAN HEALTH MINISTRY APPROVAL FOR FACTIVE ANTIBIOTIC
Oscient Pharmaceuticals Corporation said its antibiotic Factive has been approved by the Ministry of Health in Mexico as a five-day treatment for three illnesses. The drug, which was sublicensed to Pfizer Inc's Mexico subsidiary in February this year, was approved for community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis and acute bacterial sinusitis.
