FDA APPROVES GENERIC CIPROFLOXACIN
The FDA announced it has approved several generic versions of Bayer's anti-infective Cipro I.V. injection in a 10-mg/mL strength.
Cipro I.V. (ciprofloxacin) is approved to treat fever and infections including those of the urinary tract, lower respiratory tract, abdomen and skin, as well as bone and joint infections, the FDA said Aug. 29. Total Cipro sales were $671.5 million in 2005, according to Bayer.
