Non-Inferiority Trials
(Drug Wonks)
In his entry, blogger Robert Goldberg discusses a request by some members of
Congress that the Government Accountability Office investigate non-inferiority
trials, calling the lawmakers' actions "noxious fearmongering." Enforced
use of placebo-controlled trials "would harm the sickest and most vulnerable
among us and cripple efforts to accelerate treatments for Alzheimer's, cancer
and AIDS," he writes.
Adaptive Trials Conference
(Eye on FDA)
In his blog, Mark Senak calls on the FDA to announce the dates and location
of the much-anticipated conference on adaptive clinical trials. He ends his
post with an exasperated-sounding "Come on planners, get it together."
