ADVISORY COMMITTEE SUGGESTS CFC ALBUTEROL PHASEOUT BY 2006

Members of the FDA's Pulmonary-Allergy Drugs Advisory Committee have suggested setting a 2006 deadline for phasing out chlorofluorocarbon (CFC)-propelled albuterol metered dose inhalers (MDIs), in anticipation of the agency publishing a proposed rule this week on the matter.
