INTEGRA CLOSES ACQUISITION OF NEWDEAL
Integra LifeSciences, a maker of skin grafts and surgical instruments, has acquired the Newdeal Technologies group of companies for roughly $53 million in cash, subject to certain adjustments.
The company's acquisition of Newdeal, a maker of reconstructive surgery products, is a move to bolster its offerings for foot and ankle surgery.
Integra first announced the deal in November 2004, estimating a slightly lower price. Company officials said they expect Newdeal's products to complement its regenerative skin products used to treat wounds of the foot and ankle.
