MISSISSIPPI BAPTIST ACQUIRES CYBERKNIFE FOR 'KNIFELESS' SURGERY
Baptist Cancer Services, a division of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., acquired the CyberKnife Stereotactic Radiosurgery System, the only such system approved by the FDA for tumor treatment anywhere in the body. Treatments will begin the week of Jan. 24. Baptist Cancer Services will have the only system of this kind in the four-state area of Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
