Titan Pharmaceuticals Reports $26 Million Loss for Year
March 15, 2005
Titan Pharmaceuticals Inc. said it lost $7.8 million in the fourth quarter ended December, compared with a loss of $10.5 million in the same quarter a year ago. For the full year 2004, Titan's loss was $26 million, compared with a loss of $29.9 million in 2003. The South San Francisco drug company said the lower loss for the most recent quarter and year reflected a charge in 2003 -- a one-time, non-cash charge of $3.9 million linked to its acquisition of a congestive heart failure drug candidate.
