Advancis Begins Selling Keflex Antibiotic
Advancis Pharmaceutical bought an antibiotic drug from a large pharmaceutical company last year for $11 million and an oral form of the drug is finally on the shelves. Germantown-based Advancis has launched Keflex, available through distributors and wholesalers, in two dosage amounts. Keflex, which Advancis bought from drug giant Eli Lilly in July 2004, is approved to treat respiratory tract infections, ear infections, skin and soft-tissue infections and bone infections.
