UTD SPINOFF INKS R&D DEAL WITH CANADIAN COMPANY

Macrocyclics Inc., a University of Texas at Dallas spinoff that produces chemical compounds used in pharmaceutical and academic research, has inked an R&D collaboration deal with MDS Nordion, an Ottawa, Canada, provider of products and services for drug development and laboratory testing. Terms of the deal, which aims to develop better ways for developing drugs and diagnosing and treating diseases like cancer, weren't disclosed.
