EPIMMUNE RECEIVES PAYMENT AS PART OF DEAL TO ASSIGN PORTION OF AERES AGREEMENT TO SYNGENTA
July 20, 2005
Epimmune Inc. today announced it had been notified by Syngenta that all conditions had been met for the assignment of certain portions of Epimmune's existing agreement with Aeres Biomedical to Syngenta. The assignment and restructuring of certain commercial terms of the agreement triggered a payment to Epimmune by Syngenta. Epimmune and Aeres entered into an agreement in December 1999 in which Epimmune assigned certain assets to Aeres in exchange for the assumption of certain obligations by Aeres and the payment by Aeres of milestones and royalties.
