CMS Unveils 2006 Proposed Payment Rates for Outpatient Drugs

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is proposing to reimburse hospitals for outpatient drugs used under Medicare in 2006 at 108 percent of the manufacturer’s average sales price (ASP), according to the agency’s proposed Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) rule.
