TEVA REPORTS HIGHER Q2 EPS AS PHARMACEUTICALS DRIVES NET SALES

Early Monday, Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd., a developer and marketer of generic and human drugs, announced higher second quarter earnings as revenues increased. The company declared interim dividend of $0.07 per ADR. Teva reported net income of $241.2 million or $0.36 per ADR, up from $229.5 million or $0.34 per ADR in the same period last year. On average 23 analysts polled by First Call/Thomson Financials expected company's earnings of $0.36 per ADR.
