CHINA PROHIBITS RETAIL SALE OF SOME DRUGS
Starting January 1, 2006, drug retail sales enterprises nationwide will be prohibited from dealing in a list of drugs, and patients that need these drugs must obtain a prescription from a medical institution. Drugs on the list include narcotics, radioactive drugs, first-class psychotropic drugs, pregnancy termination drugs, protein assimilation preparations, peptide hormones, drug-type toxic chemicals, vaccines, and drugs that drug retail sales enterprises are prohibited from dealing in according to Chinese laws and regulations.
