AURIGENE DISCOVERY, NOVO NORDISK SIGN DEAL
Denmark's Novo Nordisk, the world's biggest maker of diabetes drugs, said on Monday it has entered into a collaboration with a privately-held Indian drug discovery company to work on a drug for metabolic disorders. Novo said in a statement released in Mumbai its deal with Bangalore-based Aurigene Discovery Technologies Ltd. will cover discovery and pre-clinical development of a series of lead compounds at Aurigene. The agreement is for two years and can be extended by another year, it said.
