FDA APPROVES PERRIGO'S TERCONAZOLE

Perrigo has reported that the FDA has approved its terconazole vaginal suppositories for the treatment of yeast infections. The 80-mg product is considered equivalent to Terazol 3 Vaginal Suppositories, an anti-fungal medication made by Ortho-McNeil.
Terconazole prevents fungal organisms from producing vital substances required for growth and function. This drug is effective only for infections caused by fungal organisms.
