MENTOR GETS FDA OK FOR NOVASILK

Medical device maker Mentor Corp. said Friday that the Food and Drug Administration approved its NovaSilk pelvic organ supporter. The NovaSilk is a surgically implanted synthetic mesh used to treat pelvic organ prolapse, a condition where the muscles of the pelvic floor are damaged or become too weak to support the pelvic organs.
