AdvaMed President and CEO Stephen J. Ubl issued the following statement in response to a document issued by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BC/BS) suggesting that implementation of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) coding system might increase improper and fraudulent Medicare billings: "AdvaMed strongly disputes the information contained in the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Association document.
