ORAMED RECEIVES APPROVAL TO START PHASE I TRIALS OF ORAL INSULIN

Oramed Pharmaceuticals announced that it has received approval for the Phase I clinical studies from the Israeli Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health is responsible for supervising, monitoring and regulating the pharmaceuticals sector by licensing medicinal preparations and setting standards for medicinal and cosmetic preparations, as well as for toxic substances, among many other services for the public.
Hadassah Medical Center also approved Oramed's application for its Phase I
clinical trials of oral insulin in healthy humans. The company stated that it
expects to achieve the same level of success in Phase I that it had achieved
in the previously conducted animal trials.
