APPEALS COURT REFUSES TO RECONSIDER RULING IN MEDRAD PATENT CASE
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has reportedly refused to revisit an earlier ruling in which it reinstated a patent infringement case brought by Schering AG affiliate Medrad against Tyco Healthcare and three co-defending firms.
The court Jan. 3 turned down a request to review its Oct. 16, 2006, decision, offering no comment, according to reports.
The suit involves Medrad's '602 reissue patent for infusion systems used with magnetic resonance imaging devices.
