German drugs and chemicals group Altana has filed a lawsuit against India's
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries alleging patent infringement on Altana's pantoprazole
anti-ulcer drug, it said on Friday. An Altana spokesman said that Sun had made
a Paragraph IV filing in the United States for a generic of Protonix, or pantoprazole,
and that Altana was confident of winning its case.
SkinMedica and Dow Pharmaceutical Sciences have entered into an expanded agreement
to develop and commercialize prescription dermatology products for the topical
steroid market, one of the largest segments of the dermatology market.
Federal Police have shut down several Perth-operated websites, which were illegally
