Stephen Ubl was named the new president and CEO of medical device association AdvaMed July 14. According to AdvaMed Board Chairman Arthur Collins, Jr., Ubl will assume his new position July 18.
According to a statement released last week by medical device association AdvaMed, the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) — currently under debate in the U.S. House of Representatives — takes issue with trade initiatives that the association considers “crucial to eliminating tariffs between countries that increase the cost of medical technologies.”
