VNUS Settles Patent Litigation With AngioDynamics, Vascular Solutions

VNUS Medical Technologies settled a patent infringement lawsuit with AngioDynamics and Vascular Solutions that was filed in 2005.

VNUS has given them a non-exclusive license covering products such as disposable endovenous laser fiber kits, laser fibers and lasers used for the treatment of varicose veins, VNUS said.

AngioDynamics and Vascular Solutions have agreed to pay VNUS $6.8 million and $3.1 million, respectively, in past royalties. They conceded they infringed on VNUS’ patents. They also must pay royalties for endovenous laser products sold or shipped in the U.S. through Sept. 11, 2017.
