New Roche Chlamydia Test Approved for Use in EU

Roche received CE Marking for a diagnostic test that is used to detect chlamydia trachomatis.

The COBAS TaqMan CT Test v2.0 uses a dual target approach designed to make test results more reliable, even in circumstances involving mutations in the bacteria's cryptic plasmid DNA, the company said.

Its automated platform can produce up to 48 tests per run and provide results within two and a half hours after a sample is prepared.
