The device industry is stepping up its efforts to help combat the H1N1 flu outbreak by ramping up production of face masks, ventilators and diagnostic tests to screen for flu. “The medical technology industry stands ready to provide whatever assistance is needed to help prevent or contain the health threat posed by the current strain of swine flu and to help those already infected to recover fully and quickly,” Janet Trunzo, AdvaMed’s executive vice president of regulatory affairs, says in a statement.
