ATS Medical’s Annuloplasty Band Cleared

The FDA has cleared ATS Medical’s ATS Simulus adjustable annuloplasty band. The device is part of a portfolio of mitral valve repair products developed and commercialized through the company’s partnership with Genesee BioMedical, ATS says in a statement. Annuloplasty rings and bands are used when repair of a patient’s heart valve is preferable to replacement of the valve.
