Drugmakers should start putting together their assumptions documents now to better prepare for Physician Payments Sunshine Act requirements, scheduled to go into full effect next year, an expert advises. Manufacturers and GPOs may submit an assumption document to explain reasonable assumptions and methodologies when filing their disclosure reports. The document is meant to help regulators understand the company’s thinking regarding reporting decisions.
