Genentech Finds Particulates in Some Vials of Blood Clot Drug

Genentech is working to figure out why some vials of blood clot drug Cathflo Activase contain rubber stopper particulates. The particulates could cause embolic events if introduced into the bloodstream but the company hasn’t received any adverse event reports related to the particulates, according to a recent notice to pharmacists.
