Former InterMune CEO Takes Free Speech Case to High Court

Unbowed, former InterMune CEO W. Scott Harkonen has petitioned the Supreme Court to review his conviction for misleading statements made about Actimmune in a 2002 press release. In his petition, Harkonen insists that conclusions drawn from data “are for scientists to debate, not for the government to prosecute as wire fraud,” and gives a slew of reasons why the high court should take his case.
