FDA Consolidates Live-Cell Wound Care Regulation in Biologics Center

The FDA is shifting responsibility for wound care products containing live cells from CDRH to the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, which already oversees all other live-cell products. According to Wednesday’s Federal Register notice, the consolidation will help the FDA regulate live-cell wound care products more efficiently and consistently.
