Government Refutes Novartis' Allegations on Patents

The Indian government has responded to Novartis complaints about the country’s IP patent protections rules by saying that multinational drug companies have benefited from the country’s patent rules; India’s commerce secretary stated that 80 percent of patents issued in India are issued to non-Indian companies.
