Integra LifeSciences Launches Novel Burn Treatment

December 17, 2014

Integra LifeSciences will launch its Meshed Dermal Regeneration Template in January following the receipt of FDA approval, the company said Wednesday. The product is the only premeshed bilayer matrix approved for third-degree burns and scar contracture procedures, according to the Plainsboro, N.J., firm.

The skin repair solution combines Integra’s existing Dermal Regeneration Template with the convenience of being premeshed. The sterile collagen-chondroitin-6-sulfate, bilayer matrix has a two-year shelf life, can be stored at room temperature and is intended for single use, Integra says.

Integra will demonstrate the new product at the John A. Boswick Burn and Wound Care Symposium, Feb. 14-18, in Maui, Hawaii. — Kellen Owings
