Eargo Introduces Hearing Loss Devices
June 26, 2015
Mountain View, Calif.-based Eargo on Friday launched its mild to moderate hearing loss devices in the U.S.
The company claims its products are tiny enough to hide inside the ear, making them virtually invisible.
Unlike other hearing devices, Eargo’s are sold as a pair and can be recharged with a portable charger, the company says. Additionally, they come with four pre-set sound profiles, but can be customized for wearers.
The full system costs about $1,980. According to the devicemaker, 40 million Americans suffer from hearing loss and people are experiencing hearing loss at younger ages than ever. — Jason Scott
