Sorin, Cyberonics Merger Approved by the High Court of England and Wales

The High Court of England and Wales has approved a cross-border merger of Italy-based Sorin, a global medical device company that focuses on the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, and Houston, Texas-based Cyberonics.
Cyberonics is a neuromodulation devicemaker that focuses on the treatment of disorders such as medically refractory epilepsy and treatment-resistant depression.
The name of the newly merged company is LivaNova.
