VA Policy to Cover ReWalk Robotics Systems for Spinal Cord Injuries

December 21, 2015

ReWalk Robotics has scored a victory as a result of a decision by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to issue a policy for the evaluation, training and procurement of the company’s exoskeleton systems for qualifying veterans in the U.S.

According to the company, the VA policy is the first U.S. national coverage policy for individuals who have suffered spinal cord injury.

Veterans who meet the physical criteria for ReWalk will be referred for training on the device, and will become eligible to obtain a system.
