IBM Acquires Truven Health Analytics

IBM Watson Health has scooped up cloud-based healthcare data provider Truven Health Analytics for $2.6 billion.

According to IBM, its health cloud will contain one of the largest and most diverse collections of health-related data in the world.

Truven’s more than 8,500 clients include U.S. federal and state government agencies, employers, health plans and hospitals.
