March 15, 2016
Coapt has licensed implantable technology from Purdue Research Foundation with an eye toward improving limb control for amputees.
Purdue’s implantable electrodes can detect electrical signals more clearly beneath the skin, according to a release. The company plans use the technology to enhance its Complete Control system.
“Our exclusive licensing of Purdue’s implantable technology is a game-changer in prosthetics and orthotics. With this next generation tool in our portfolio, Coapt expands its position as the industry leader in the field of intuitive control,” said Blair Lock, co-founder and CEO of Coapt. — Anisa Jibrell
