PneumaCare’s Thora-3DI Earns FDA Clearance
March 18, 2016
The FDA has granted PneumaCare clearance for its Thora-3DI imaging device, which is intended for non-contact respiratory measurement.
The device detects chest and abdomen movement through the use of structured light Plethysmography.
Clinical results have shown that the system can pinpoint movements as small as 0.25 mm and measure respiratory rate to within less than one breath per minute versus the reference device, the company says. — Anisa Jibrell
