M3 Launches Seeds Rocket Business

Japan’s M3 is diving into the medical device business with an investment in MedTecHeart’s extracorporeal ventricular assist device.

The investment is the first venture made by M3i — M3’s new seed investment company — with more to come, according to the company. 

The VAD technology features a magnetically levitated centrifugal structure providing safety and longer usage at a lower price versus traditional pulsatile pacemakers and centrifugal blood pumps, M3 adds. — Anisa Jibrell
