EEA Third-Country GMP Inspections Drop by 25 Percent in 2016
December 6, 2017
Between 2015 and 2016, the number of GMP inspections conducted by European Economic Area authorities of non-EU sites dropped by nearly 25 percent, but the authorities reported more findings of non-compliance over the same time period.
According to a report recently published by the European Medicines Agency, EEA authorities conducted 337 third country inspections in 2016, issuing non-compliance statements to 19 sites: 12 in India, 4 in China and 3 in the U.S.
Those countries accounted for three-quarters of the EEA’s total third-country inspections.
