China Joins IMDRF Information Exchange Program

China’s National Medical Products Administration is joining the International Medical Device Regulators Forum’s adverse event exchange program.

The program was established to set up channels for regulatory agencies from different countries to share information on medical device adverse events that could trigger serious public health risks.

Participation by the Chinese agency gives it access to information on international adverse events and inspection evaluations. More than 20 countries and regions have joined the program.
