Becton Dickinson Earns Clearance for Another COVID-19 Test

Beckton Dickinson (BD) has received an EUA from the FDA and a CE mark in Europe for its second COVID-19 molecular diagnostic test.

The test is run on the company’s BD MAX system and it can process 24 samples at one time. Hospital laboratories will account for a majority of users, the company said.

BD’s real-time polymerase chain-reaction detection method can produce results in two to three hours.
