DOJ Won’t Challenge AmerisourceBergen’s COVID-19 Efforts
April 22, 2020
The Department of Justice (DOJ) said it will not challenge AmerisourceBergen’s efforts to distribute critical medicines for COVID-19 patients as antitrust activities.
The company is working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and is distributing hydroxychloroquine from the Strategic National Stockpile to healthcare providers.
The DOJ decided earlier this month to waive antitrust concerns about collaborative efforts by McKesson and Cardinal Health to distribute medical supplies during the pandemic.
