FDA Approves Sanofi’s Meningococcal Vaccine
April 27, 2020
The FDA has approved Sanofi’s MenQuadfi Meningococcal (Groups A,C,Y,W) Conjugate Vaccine for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease.
The approval was based on the results of phase 2 and 3 trials, which showed immune responses similar to those induced by existing quadrivalent meningococcal vaccines.
Sanofi said the product will be in a ready-to-use liquid formulation so healthcare providers will not need to reconstitute the vaccine.
