SightGlass Vision’s Children’s Myopia Eyeglasses Gets CE Mark

SightGlass Vision has earned the CE mark for novel eyeglasses designed to slow myopia progression in children.

The Diffusion Optics Technology (DOT) spectacle lenses proved successful in managing myopia, also known as nearsightedness, in children in a multicenter clinical trial, SightGlass said.

The prevalence of myopia globally has increased dramatically in recent decades. The increase is thought to be linked to lifestyle changes, such as eye-straining work and less time spent outdoors.
