Medtronic Earns CE Mark for MiniMed Insulin Pump

Medtronic has secured a CE mark for its MiniMed 780G system, an insulin pump system that links to wireless devices.

The device delivers basal insulin and correction boluses every five minutes to help avoid high and low insulin levels in patients with type 1 diabetes.

The system uses Bluetooth to allow users and healthcare practitioners to view real-time glucose data and trends on their smartphones or other devices.
